We collect information to enable us to run the best service we can. It is important to us to be transparent about why we need the personal information we collect, what we do with this information, and how we keep you and your information safe.

GDPR

At Valley Organics we are committed to protecting your privacy and your personal data. We use an online computer system (Growing Good) that manages our online ordering and helps us administer our orders.
Your customer data is encrypted and stored in a secure datacentre run by a large, reputable and established hosting provider. It is a condition of GDPR that we have consent from customers to contact them and store their data. This consent is implicit in using our service.

How we use your data

We use your data to provide a better service that is tailored to the needs and wants of our customers. Without your data we would be unable to contact you about your order and you would be unable to process your orders online.

The following list outlines how we use your data. To provide our service we may use your data to:

• process and fulfil your orders
• process payments
• respond to any queries and complaints
• keep a record of your relationship with us
• remind you of ordering deadlines
• let you know if you have not checked out your basket
• let you know about changes to the service, for example if a product is unavailable
• contact you if we think there is something unusual with your order

 
If you consent, we may use your data to:

• send you email newsletters to keep you informed
• let you know about any competitions or events
• inform you of new products and services you may be interested in
• send you customer feedback surveys that enable us to improve our service
• to contact you if you permanently cancel your orders with us, to understand your reasons for leaving

If you leave the service we will still hold your data in case you wish to reactive your account. After a reasonable period we will delete your data. If you do deregister and would like us to delete your data immediately please let us know as Growing Good have the functionality to permanently delete your data from their system.

Password and Security

As part of the sign-up process you will be required to create a password for your account. Keep your password secret and do not disclose it to anyone else. Your password is stored securely and we are unable to access it. If you believe the secrecy of your password has been compromised please notify us immediately and a new password will be issued.

They are used to retain user preferences, store information for things like shopping baskets, and provide anonymised tracking data to third party applications like Google Analytics. Sharing your personal data

Sometimes we share your data with third parties to fulfil our service.
The Growing Good service utilises Stripe to hold your payment card details and process payments. Stripe are one of the largest providers of online payment services. Neither Valley Organics or Growing Good store your payment card details.
 
For the purposes of communications and email marketing, we use MailChimp.

We only share information with a third party that is required to perform the specified service specified. It is important to us to ensure your privacy is respected. If we stop using a third party, data will be deleted or made anonymous.
